Let’s face it, sometimes we aren’t in the mood to get on our mat and start bending like pretzels, or maybe we just can’t “find” enough time in the day. These yoga quotes we’ve put together are meant to motivate + inspire you to MAKE the time!
Set aside even just 10 minutes of your day to feel those blissful effects of a yoga practice. Come on, pause that TV show you’re watching, set it to record and do some yoga so you can skip through those commercials that eat up half your time anyway!
Here we go…
1. I’m sorry for what I said before I yoga’d
Because when we aren’t in the moment, it can be hard to speak from the heart.
2. Don’t Hate, Meditate.
Forget the hate, life is easier when we let all that sh*t go! Spend some time loving yourself and all the hate will dissipate :p
3. Be the energy you want to attract
Nobody wants to be around negative energy, except negative people! Bring forth the energy you wish to be surrounded by and soon enough, you will be!
4. Yoga is a Journey of the Self through the Self to the Self
Yoga’s not an easy journey, it takes commitment and a lot of time with being alone with yourself. Making new discoveries of your body, mind and soul. Sometimes you will feel limitations or regret, but that’s what makes the moments of realization and accomplishment so much better!
5. Yoga is like life, it’s a balance of holding on & letting go
Balance, it’s a hard thing to achieve but once you get there, it’s pure bliss. When you understand the needs of your body it can transfer over to the needs in your life. Listen to your inner self as often as you can, you are wiser than you think.
6. I bend so I don’t break
We aren’t superhuman – yet! So taking care of yourself is always a top priority, after all, where would you be without a healthy body? Stuck in bed?! That’s not living my friends, get out there and get bendy!
7. I Decide My Vibe
Your vibe is yours, so own it! Don’t let anyone else special enough to decide your vibe…that’s all you!
8. Sky Above – Earth Below – Peace Within
Yoga allows us to become one with nature, leave behind your worries and be at peace with this moment.
9. These mountains that you are carrying, you were meant to climb
Taking a step back you can see things from a whole new perspective. Usually, we are too caught up in what is immediately in front of us that seeing things in their entirety is almost impossible. Yoga is a very useful tool to take a new perspective, an outside perspective that can literally change everything!
10. Drop & Give Me ZEN
11. Yoga, because punching people is frowned upon
We all have those days where we just want to punch something…or someone, but that probably isn’t the best way to deal. Yoga has the power to calm the mind and free that pent up energy from your day. By focusing internally instead of externally, we can get to the root of our anger and deal with it for good, rather than letting it linger and eat away at our happiness for the next hour, day or week! Don’t sit there and ruminate on it, do yoga!
12. What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.
Wise words from Siddhartha Gautama, as always. We must monitor our thoughts and feelings as if they determine our future, because they do! Most of us aren’t even aware of half the things we say to ourselves during the day since we’ve probably been listening to it for years. Being mindful of this isn’t easy but there is a good place to start, and that’s either yoga or meditation.
13. Eat More Plants, Do More Yoga
If you want to feel good from the inside out, it not only matters what you do with your body but also what you put inside of it. Nourish yourself with the real food that is plants. Feel the physical and emotional difference it makes! Strive to eat at least one day vegetarian per week and see if you notice a change.
14. If you seek peace, be still. If you seek wisdom, be silent. If you seek love, be yourself.
Words to live by.
15. Maybe you are searching in the branches, what can only be found in the roots
If you are open to receiving, it is easy to see all we need can be found within.
