One third of the global population does not have access to proper sanitation – with millions who have no toilet at all. This leads to a multitude of global issues that are threatening human health and causing environmental issues. Every day, 2 million tons of sewage and other wastewater drain into the world’s waters. (UN) Almost 900 children die every day from diseases caused by not having a proper loo or clean water. That’s one child every two minutes. (Water Aid)
