Toronto’s COMPOSTING facility actually separates the plastics from the cotton and turns even mainstream pads, tampons and liners into soil instead of having them rot in a landfill?! If your community has a municipal composting program in place find out if it accepts menstrual products. Others, such as the one in Halifax, refuses any and all plastics.
