going green:
getting started // calculate your impact
We’ve put together some easy to-use tools for you to take a look at how your lifestyle impacts our planet (also known as our home!) and the only one we have, why not look after it?
Step up and take the challenge to see where you can make a few small changes to make our future greener. Taking a minute or two here and there or just changing the way you think about things like single-use plastics can make a big difference for our future generations as well as our own!
1. calculate your ecological footprint
this is a quick and easy way to gain a holistic view on your impact. it takes into account your usage on resources like food, materials and energy and then compares it to how quickly our planet can absorb our waste and generate new resources. by definition your ecological footprint is “the impact of a person or community on the environment, expressed as the amount of land required to sustain their use of natural resources.” basically how many planets we would need if everyone lived like you.
